This is a nice diner style restaurant serving homemade food in the heart of New Braunfels. I had the Hand Breaded Fried Shrimp plate and they are large and so delicious. Prices are very reasonable and everything is made fresh. Definitely would like to come back and try their other items including their homemade cinnamon rolls.
We had lunch at Avery’s and it was quite nice. Service was excellent and fast. The food was very good and came out hot and tasty. I had a cup of the homemade chicken noodle soup and it was good. My entree was fried butterfly shrimp with fries and hush puppies. It was all yummy but my favorite was actually the hush puppies. There was no chunks of green pepper in them the way so many places fix them and they were delicious. The fries were nice and crispy. I got 8 huge pieces of shrimp and I couldn’t quite finish everything. Very reasonable prices, too.
Food was very fresh and hot! Waitress was attentive and we appreciate the fast and courteous service. We look them up on Google and Google took us straight there. Highly recommend.
Walked in and noticed the place was clean, well lit, and nicely decorated. Was escorted to a booth and ordered the seafood platter. This came with soup of the day (beef & vegetables), a baked potato, hush puppies, fried shrimp, crab cake, and fried grouper. Two bottles were brought at the same time with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. Everything on my plate I tasted was excellent. I was surprised how good even the tartar sauce and cocktail sauces were. The portions were huge and enough to feed two people. The service was amazing with even the cook dropping by my table to see how I was doing. I very much enjoyed dining here and will definitely be back for more.
Avery’s was absolutely delicious! My husband and I came for breakfast and the food, service, atmosphere was absolutely outstanding! We love family owned, country cooking restaurants! Megan was absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcomed. She recommended different foods to try! The music wasn’t too loud and absolutely brought us back to our earlier years! Fabulous place to eat!
Good food and great service! Went there for the first time now the staff are all my besties! Our waitress (I think her name was Tiffany) is a certified and licensed sweetheart. The blackened grouper was delicious and the fried shrimp was good enough to write home about. Their cream of chicken soup was soooo good! Don’t even get me started on the key lime pie, it was the best EVER in the entire universe! My cat, FluffaMuffin didn’t get to go with us though so she’s having attitude now and pretending to be dead.
